More detail on representation in the central image is needed, such as direct eye contact, warmth of smile, relaxed look including clothing, long hair, wording of the article about him suggests a serious and dedicated musician.
Most music magazines do have a similar number of articles (indicated by the cover lines) but some are more crowded looking and some are more restrained and orderly.
The cover lines (text) colour choices are relatively controlled, white and yellow, with the accent of red. This creates cohesion, as does the justifying to the RH side.
